Who I work with
As a professional, parent and partner with ADHD, I offer a mix of professional expertise and relevant personal experience to help navigate your individual journey. Whether offering validation and psychoeducation on common challenges of living with neurodivergency, or exploring unique themes from your life, establishing and maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship is core to the process.
My top priority as a provider is creating a space for clients to feel safe exploring what matters most to them. From areas of personal growth and healing, to professional development and goal-setting, we will collaboratively identify goals and strategies that align with your values, interests and abilities.
Your interests matter! I strive to incorporate your hobbies and interests in a meaningful way. (I often find that many of my own special interests overlap with clients, especially in areas of sci-fi, gaming, music and general geek culture!)
Additionally, I believe in the remarkable benefits of humor in our work. Whether breaking the ice to delve into a sensitive topic, or discovering new ways to approach problematic patterns, humor has been proven to be an excellent catalyst for growth.

Working with me
My social work journey began unintentionally when I started working in a group home for autistic kids in 2003. After graduating in 2005, I lived and worked on a campus for at-risk youth before returning to focus working with the autism community in various settings including summer camps, independent living programs, direct support and group home management roles. In 2007, I met Aimee in one of these settings. We would go on to develop a lifelong friendship, a journey which includes our creation of Halcyon Mental Health in 2015.
In my personal time, I enjoy hiking, reading geek literature (especially anything from the Alien/Predator universes!), watching live comedy/music, and playing a mix of tabletop and video games.
